Using Bamboo Window Blinds For Formal Rooms

Bamboo is a great plant that can supply a lot of materials for many different products. This renewable resource is also helpful for the earth and the environment because it is not derived from synthetic elements and can be renewed or replanted. Bamboo is often used to make bamboo window blinds. They are ideal for windows because they can actually allow privacy but at the same time not cut off any air flow since the bamboo is porous and the natural grain of the bamboo allows for air to go between slats or between strips of woven bamboo window blinds and shades.

Designs

Bamboo window blinds may seem too casual for some people to be used for formal rooms. In actuality, the design of the bamboo window blinds often dictates what kind of ambience it delivers. The raw bamboo blinds are often reserved for outdoor uses or for rooms that are informal or casual. Raw bamboo window blinds are often made up of slats of uneven bamboo strips about an inch or so and these are the very simple types of bamboo window blinds.

Outdoor bamboo blinds can be very useful in areas where people do not wish to be seen or when the sun is too hot such as the patio or the lanai. On the other hand, some of the bamboo window blinds can be the epitome of formality if they are designed well and colored in such as way that they complement the room they are installed in.

Designs and colors are usually muted or single toned with little or no frills and decorations at all that will break the elegance and simplicity of the design. The simple and elegant design of the indoor bamboo window blinds can suit formal rooms as long as the colors and design matches that of the room.

Other Uses of Bamboo Window Blinds

Bamboo window blinds can also be used as room dividers. They are especially useful for this purpose because they can shield some parts or areas of the room which the owner does not wish to be seen but at the same time, if the owner needs the extra space, he or she just need to roll up the bamboo window blinds and, voila!, instant space. They can also be used to cover the glass on the doors. These can serve as door blinds especially for doors with little glass window in them.

Are Bamboo Window Blinds Right For You?

When considering wood window blinds for your home, you might want to consider bamboo. Bamboo blinds have been used for centuries as partitions and blinds. They also give your home an oriental flare, which adds to the charm of the house.

The Use of Bamboo Through History
You may not have known this but bamboo is used in bridges, houses, fences, toys, furniture, floors and so much more. People have used it to decorate both the inside of their homes as well as their outdoor living space.

In some cultures, bamboo is kept around as a tool for long life. Other cultures use bamboo to ward off any evil spirits that may be lurking around. It is also a sign of friendship to many people.

Bamboo Window Blinds
Originally, bamboo blinds were seen as elegant. They were used to show off design capabilities while maintaining functionality and reliability. Now, they are used throughout the world. Bamboo can be seen in floors, offices and vacation homes alike.

Today, bamboo blinds are coming into fashion because of their Eco-friendly design. The product is natural and complements any room. As window coverings, they let the breeze in and maintain a classic style. To keep to the authenticity of the blinds, most people prefer a natural stain over coloring.

Affordability of Bamboo
Like the majority of products, the cost will vary depending on where you shop and the quality of blinds you receive. Recently, I did a search for affordable blinds and found Tavarua Basics Bamboo Shades on sale for $27.26. I also saw Tavarua Bamboo Ring Drapery on sale for $63.38. Bamboo blinds come in a wide range of styles and colors. Therefore, you need to shop around for the best prices.

Custom Blinds
Like most other blinds, you can get custom bamboo blinds as well. This way no matter how awkward to misshapen your window it, you can get blinds that fit perfectly. You can order them exactly the way you want. This may mean you get blinds that shine in lots of light or block out light. You might even want to upgrade your blinds to a duo-fold. That way you can open the blinds from the top or the bottom.

Bamboo for Any Home
The best part about bamboo blinds is that they work great anywhere. They are super simple to clean. All you need to do is dust them. Add a shade to the window and you can drastically change the dynamics of the entire room.

Window Blinds, Curtains Or Shutters?

Finding the right window treatments for a particular room is not as easy as it sounds. You have many different options as window blinds, curtains and shutters, and in some cases you can combine these all to get the best possible effect. For something like that you would have to have big windows or just a bit of creative mind.

For people who want to have practical solutions in their home, I would have to suggest to get window blinds that are adjustable. They could either be vertical, or horizontal, but for the reason that horizontal blinds are easier to take care of, and simpler to use, I would have to recommend getting them. You can easily control the amount of light that is passed between them.

Curtains have been around for as long as windows, and they have become more of a decorative element than something that you want to use to cover the windows. They are usually always open except during the night, and in warm countries during the day. They have great insulating proprieties, and for that reason alone you should have curtains even thought you don't care about decorating. You can easily block the heat of the sun and keep the warmth inside during the window.

Shutters are something that are widely used in the mediterranean houses. Today they are more of an architectural detail to a house, but before they would be used to boost up the security of a house. Also they would provide a great barrier to sunlight.

Bamboo Window Blinds An Accent For Any Home

Are you tired of your window blinds? Have you wanted to try something a little more unique in choosing your window coverings? There are many choices you can choose from when you are looking for window dressing, but how will you choose? Part of your choice is going to be your home decor, while the other is your budget. Bamboo window blinds are a unique yet budget conscious way to accent your home.

Bamboo window blinds come in two different styles with a variety of colors. Most people think of bamboo as being green or light tan. This is true, but with the technology we have today it is also possible to die the bamboo to any color you wish it to be so that it fits in your home better. Once you have determined the color of the bamboo window blinds you may be limited in style or you may still have the offer of both styles.

You may choose to have both styles in your home depending on the rooms. The first style is a roll blind. This means you roll the blind up and secure it with straps rather than having a string that brings the blind up. This style is for less formal rooms, such as sunrooms or an area where you don't want your kids to get a hold of the blind strings of the other style. The other style is called venation. This is your typical blind with the strings bringing the blind up. They tend to offer more ventilation than the other bamboo window blinds and offer a more elegant look to any room.

Any type of blind is important to keeping the sun out, but you don't have to sacrifice taste for your budget. Bamboo window blinds offer you the uniqueness and tropical look you have been looking for. They come in a variety of sizes so you can usually find the correct size without having to special order them. If you have an older home you may need to place a couple of special orders, but you will still be able to find the blind that fits your home with ease. Installation of these blinds is also very easy. You simply need to read the instructions and make sure you have some basic tools.

If you are unsure if you will be able to install the blinds you can find a contractor who will be willing to install the blinds for you at minimal cost. Most of the time it takes a few minutes to install a blind so they will charge you by the hour, most usually their regular fee. You may also see if the hardware store offers installation. It is a good idea to compare pricing for installation before making a decision.

Bamboo window blinds are a great addition to any home. You may decide to start off with a green hue while realizing the exposure to the sun will eventually create a beautiful golden hued blind. The style of blind and color of bamboo window blind will be your choice.
